Sliding House is “Best Home”
Sliding House has been recognised by Grand Designs Awards 2009. The project scooped two awards – Best New-Build and the overall genre winner of Best Home.
Kevin McCloud presented the awards to the client and design team, relaying the judges’ comments: “one big stroke of genius, a crazy idea that isn’t gratuitous but a creative response to make the building highly responsive to its environment and an extraordinary place to live”.
